About the Event

Brielle Public Library is pleased to announce a special event on March 22nd, from 4:30 – 6:00 PM, with Sri Lankan born Buddhist monk, Bhante Sujatha.

Every year Bhante Sujatha travels the world sharing the teachings of the Buddha, the value in practical applications of mindfulness to everyday life, and the message of loving-kindness. His work has inspired thousands of people with his unique and joyful voice, providing penetrating insight in a way that's relatable and easy to understand. By attending this event you will gain valuable tools that you can put into practice right away!

In this program Bhante Sujatha will conduct a reading from the popular book compiling 15 of his talks: "Empty, Empty, Happy, Happy – The Essential Teachings of a Simple Monk."

Included in this program: Bhante will conduct a guided loving-kindness meditation session, and open time for question and answers from the audience. Each guest to this event will receive their own copy of "Empty, Empty, Happy, Happy" and following the program have an opportunity to meet Bhante and get their copy signed!

Choose Loving-Kindness items will also be available for purchase at the event. Sales from these items supports Bhante's charitable work in Sri Lanka, including his "Annual Pregnant Mothers Retreat" which provides education and parcels of essential items to more than 300 expecting mothers.
