Fashion Design Class (Winter Series)

WINTER SERIES INCLUDES:

Design through time with our fashion history series & have fun!

Perfect for Kids Ages 8 & up

What You Will Learn Each Week:

Each week we will discuss and design fashions from a different decade.

This course focuses on learning the techniques of fashion design while having fun!

Topics to be Covered:

*Drawing the 10 head fashion figure

*Designing garments on the body

*Rendering designs

*Creating inspiration boards

*All supplies are included

PRE PAY SEASON at $110/4wks (Save FEE: $30 Per Student/ Pay at Door. Portion of proceeds are donated to the library.

About the Fashion Design  Series:

Design classes are for a broad range of ages and are geared towards learning proper design techniques. The classes focus on drawing, rendering, presentation, and terminology, but most importantly to have fun!!  This is a class where kids are inspired to explore their creativity, and be amazed at what they can do.

About the Instructor:

Kaitlin Mahony,  has always had a love for fashion and all types of design and illustration. She graduated from Marist College with a degree in Fashion Design, and went on to work in NYC as a handbag designer for over 10 years. She worked on some amazing brands like Beyonce's line House of Dereon, XOXO, Twiggy for HSN, and Cynthia Rowley. She then ventured out and started her own fashion company. She opened a little shop/studio on Washington St. in Hoboken , NJ where she specialized in party and bridesmaids dresses. Kaitlin received her teaching certification and started taking her experiences to the classroom. She has been teaching fashion and interior design since 2012 in local high schools, and loves it! She started Sketchbook and these fashion classes as a way to continue her love for design and illustration and bring it to kids who also love to design and draw.
