This presentation will provide information on the diverse cyber threats facing both individuals and organizations. We will delve into the tactics and trends within cybercriminal activity covering ransomware, business email compromise, social engineering, credential compromise, data theft, and beyond. Real-world examples will be shared to illustrate these threats, as well as recommended courses of action to become more cyber resilient.
About the Presenter: Amanda D'Alessandro serves as an election security coordinator for the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security (NJOHSP), division of the New Jersey Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Cell (NJCCIC) team. With a focus on emergency operations, she helps provide assistance and guidance on emerging and prevalent cyber and physical threats to all 21 counties across New Jersey. With over 6 years of experience working within the cyber field, Amanda has insight into the importance of cyber safety and how to implement security practices into everyday life.
